JOB SUMMARY


The Global Accounts Payable Manager reports to the Controller, supervises one direct report
and is responsible for the full-cycle global accounts payable process.  Provides friendly and
sound guidance to the Accounts Payable shared services team, company employees and third-
party vendors.  Oversees all global transactions processing for inventory and expense invoices,
credit memos, credit cards, travel & expense reports and payment applications.  Reviews and
prepares monthly global reconciliations and account analyses to ensure accurate financial
reporting, addressing and escalating issues in a timely manner.  Establishes both manual and
automated global procedures for identifying and resolving issues related to invoices, credit
memos, credit cards, travel & expense reports and payments.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manages accurate and timely creation of global vendor records and ongoing administration and maintenance of all the vendor master data
  • Oversees and assists with the global day-to-day full-cycle accounts payable operations and weekly disbursements, providing immediate visibility to senior management on critical issues
  • Reviews and provides guidance for global accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate reporting for all vendor invoices and supplier inventory receipts including 3-way matches, landed costs, purchase price variances and vendor price lists
  • Manages global supplier relationships and resolves all vendor account discrepancies in a timely manner by obtaining and investigating information from cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Reviews and provides guidance for all employee travel & expense report submissions to ensure both compliance with company policy and timely processing of reimbursement payments
  • Manages the global accounts payable month end close, providing status of all related processes
  • Prepares monthly global reconciliations and analyses of vendor accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting, separating timing differences from variances requiring further research and identifying and escalating issues to be addressed
  • Reviews global accounts payable aging reports to ensure vendor accounts are reconciled and all payments and credits have been identified and processed
  • Manages global company credit card and online payments administration and compliance, including detection and prevention of misuse or fraud by cardholders or vendors
  • Leads the global accounts payable process automation projects, collaborating with systems, data and accounting teams
  • Partners closely with cross functional teams and department heads to proactively identify issues and opportunities for accounts payable
    process improvements and efficiencies
  • Documents procedures for the global accounts payable process, addressing the unique elements of the business
  • Establishes global accounts payable KPIs and documents measured results to determine improvement opportunities


EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of global accounts payable manager experience in e-commerce or retail
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software
  • Competency with email and internet software including Google suite A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
  • Desire to lead an agile and small team to provide support across the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Collaborate cross-functionally at all levels
  • Think critically and independently
